Are They Different From A Humidifier?

These diffusers are not made for the sole purpose of humidification, but, yes, they may be used as one. Ultrasonic diffusers work on a lot of the same principles, especially in the case of ultrasonic humidifiers — where the technology is almost exactly the same. If you are using your diffuser in this way, you may wish to dilute your scented oil even further in order to create a more passive experience that utilises the water vapour more than the oil.
