Two Service Technician Positions

Are you mechanically minded, fit and energetic, ready for a new challenge and looking for a new career path?

This job would suit someone with a trade background (mechanic, electrician, boiler maker, refrigeration service technician etc.) who is looking for a change, but experience is not necessarily needed if you are handy at fixing things, as full training is provided. Sales experience is also an advantage but not essential.

PuraAir Australia Pty Ltd is a growing small business which specialises in odour control and scenting solutions. We have been established for over 14 years and we service Melbourne, Sydney, the ACT and Brisbane/Gold Coast. We are currently seeking two full time highly motivated Service Technicians in the Gold Coast/Brisbane metro areas and secondly in the Melbourne CBD to perform maintenance on our deodorising systems in commercial, retail and residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the total maintenance of all equipment on a scheduled basis to maintain optimum performance of equipment.
• Installation and removal of equipment from sites.
• Maintaining tools, workshop and vehicle.
• Maintaining stock take and appropriate stock levels.
• Carry out troubleshooting to minimise downtime and unnecessary repair costs.
• Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality workmanship to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment.
• Ensure equipment and quality satisfaction is delivered in accordance with the customers' expectations.
• Provide technical support to the sales team and be willing to sell and promote our product.

About you:

• Highly motivated and fit self-starter who is resilient, customer focused with a drive for getting the job done.
• Team player as well as being able to work on own.
• Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills.
• Sales ability or willingness to sell and promote our product.
• Organised, reliable and takes pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work in commercial, retail and residential waste rooms, foyers and loading docks to service equipment.
• Current police check and WWC check.
• Service and maintenance – test/fault find and repair experience (full or part trade qualifications or trade assistant in electrical or refrigeration is an advantage not but essential).
• Current Manual Driver’s Licence – an experienced, confident driver with a good knowledge of the Gold Coast/Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.
